If We Met Up For A Drink (And Some Exciting News)

It’s been a hectic week here and I haven’t been able to dedicate as much time as I usually would to my blog. Needless to say, I’ve still managed to get my posts up on their designated days. As it’s Friday I thought we should share a virtual drink, because I’ve got some exciting news to share.

If We Met For A Drink_Fotor

If we met up for a drink, I’d be ordering a bottle of Corona, because it’s been a pretty humid day and I was daydreaming earlier about chilling out in a beer garden. Anyway, the first round would be on me, as I’ve got something I’ve been wanting to tell you all day.

But before I’d reveal that, when we sit down with our drinks in hand, I’d tell you that I’m really happy my sister and brother-in-law are coming home for a week from Scotland. I haven’t had a chance to visit their new home yet, so it’s been a while since I’ve seen them in person.

I’d tell you that I had a go at making my own sweet potato chips or ‘shavings’. I used a vegetable peeler to make them as thin as possible so they’d crisp up more easily. They turned out not quite what I was hoping for, so I’m going to have to experiment more with them.

I would definitely ask you if you have been watching the great British Bake Off or the BBQ Champ competition on ITV? I’m going to catch up with the second episode of Bake Off over the weekend. As for the BBQ Champ, I’m rather disappointed by it so far; I think they could have picked better contestants, to be honest.

After we’ve had a good chat about this cute red top I bought in H&M, the one-off super hot sunny day we had here on Thursday (and that on said day) I had a job interview…which I was a bag of nerves for…thought it went badly and convinced myself I didn’t get it….

I would then finally reveal my good news that…

I am so pleased to finally get a job I think will suit me and that I’ll enjoy. It might mean I won’t be able to blog as much. Only time will tell on that one.

Right about now, I reckon it’s your turn to buy the next round. So…how about a bottle of champagne, please?

I tried vegetable crisps too and they didn’t turn out well either! Congratulations on the job, what is it? x
