The She Hulk Post-Workout Green Smoothie
After I come back home from one of my strenuous long walks, I’m always tempted to go straight to the fridge and grab a fizzy drink to help replenish my energy. But considering you can whip up a healthy green smoothie in 30 seconds, there’s really no excuse for unhealthy drinks/snacks that defeat the purpose of the workout to begin with.
This gorgeous, creamy post-workout green smoothie is packed full of all the good stuff to help you recover from a workout. Ripe pieces of mango give the smoothie the perfect sweetness (no additional sweetener is needed), as well as coconut water for rehydration. You’ll get protein from the spinach, avocado and greek yogurt. However, if you have really she-hulked out at the gym, you can up the protein intake further by adding 1 good spoonful of protein powder.
- 150ml coconut water
- 150g ripe mango
- 40g spinach
- 1/2 avocado (50g)
- 1 tbsp plain greek yogurt
- Add the coconut water and pieces of mango into a food processor (or blender) and blitz until smooth.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
- Serve straight away
