The She Hulk Post-Workout Green Smoothie

Drinks | July 3, 2015 | By

After I come back home from one of my strenuous long walks, I’m always tempted to go straight to the fridge and grab a fizzy drink to help replenish my energy. But considering you can whip up a healthy green smoothie in 30 seconds, there’s really no excuse for unhealthy drinks/snacks that defeat the purpose of the workout to begin with.

This gorgeous, creamy post-workout green smoothie is packed full of all the good stuff to help you recover from a workout. Ripe pieces of mango give the smoothie the perfect sweetness (no additional sweetener is needed), as well as coconut water for rehydration. You’ll get protein from the spinach, avocado and greek yogurt. However, if you have really she-hulked out at the gym, you can up the protein intake further by adding 1 good spoonful of protein powder.

They’re really convincing and can definitely work. Still, the
posts are too brief for novices. May just you pⅼease pr᧐long them a bit from next time?

Love the combination you’ve put together here. I’ve been drinking a lot of green smoothies recently and I really like them savoury so have been adding garlic and chilli sauce too – mmmmm!

This reminds me of a smoothie I get from a local juicery but they throw peanut butter in it. I think I like the sound of avocado better!

Hahaha love the name of this recipe 😀 I am yet to try avocado in smoothies. I’m a huge avocado fan but there are just a few things I can’t get my head around – avocado in smoothies and baked avocados… still this does look pretty impressive. Perhaps I’ll have to give it a go…
