I love the build up to Christmas. The late night shopping hours, the Christmas themed lattes in cafes (gingerbread latte I’m eyeballing you!). But what really marks the beginning of Christmas are the festive events. Here’s a roundup of the Christmas Events in and around Belfast.

Project 24 Christmas Fair
There’s a free drop-in Christmas Craft Workshop if you’d like to make treats and gifts, as well as christmas cake and mulled wine to enjoy!
The Continental Market – Saturday 15th November to Sunday 21st December.
Back for its tenth year is the fantastic Christmas market at the City Hall. Beer tents, gifts, mulled wine, Santa’s grotto, treats and food from all over the world. Don’t be a grinch, get yourself down there!
Arthur Street, Belfast. Christmas Event – 20th November from 4pm
No scrooges on Arthur Street as the retailers are all holding an evening of discounts and delights!
Market Square, Antrim 21st Nov 2014 ‐ 5:45 pm
Live music, entertainment from circus performers, songs and a great Prize Draw. Plus a sensational firework display as the lights are switched on. Santa will make his grand entrance astride Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, along with characters from the smash hit film ‘Frozen’ and some stilt walkers.
Titanic Quarter, Belfast – 22nd November – 23st December
The Titanic Quarter
will be hosting numerous events for Christmas, including arts and crafts, storytelling and meeting Santa. Check the website for full details. The afternoon tea sounds yummy!
The Dock Christmas Market 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th and 20th December
The Dock Christmas Market
takes place at ARC Retail, 2A Queen’s RD. The Dock Christmas Market has a range of food art stalls and handmade crafts.
Frock Around the Clock – 6th December 11am until 11pm
Held in Lisburn at The Wallace Riverside Pub and Eatery. A christmas vintage handmade fair. Entry is free! Check out their website
Lidl Christmas Market, Belfast. Thursday 11th December to 14th December
Taking place at St Anne’s Square is the Lidl Christmas Market
.Sample and buy from their christmas range – cakes, biscuits, nuts, chocolates and mince pies. There will be a traditional german bratwurst hut selling hotdogs and burgers. Santa will also be sleighing in for a visit!
ND Collective Craft 12th December
St George’s Market – 22nd until 24th December.
Christmas isn’t Christmas without a visit to this special historic market
. Children’s entertainment, chocolate treats and and you can enter the Christmas hamper draw donated from the traders! Plus music and Santa will be stopping by, too!
