Frock around the Clock end of Summer Event
I felt compelled to blog about the Frock around the Clock end of Summer Event I attended at Malone House (a Georgian manson usually popular for weddings) as ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved all things retro, especially 1950s fashion and vintage kitchenware.
Frock Around the Clock is a vintage and handmade fair run by Decadence Vintage, the brainchild of Becky Moore, a lover of vintage who wanted to bring vintage fairs to Northern Ireland. Started in 2008 Frock Around the Clock remains their flagship event. Their other events are Seaside Frock, the Decadence Vintage Bridal Fair, The Retro Rooms Show and Totally Bazaar.
You may think by its name that it’s a fashion only event but it isn’t. Stalls on display include fashion accessories, furniture, home wares, handmade and vintage jewellery, art, craft, sweet treats (cupcakes, chocolates, sweets) plus photography and much more! There are 45 exhibitors in total who are all local businesses from Northern Ireland and Ireland.
The event was good and the turn out was excellent. I sampled one of the cupcakes and coffee, very tasty – no complaints here! One exhibitor in particular caught my eye, Loving Spoonful. They specialise in hand-crafted silver jewellery made from antique and vintage cutlery! Very unique!
I thoroughly enjoyed this event and didn’t leave empty handed. Here’s a couple of purchases I made:
1: Chocolate Memories
: A charity group for Autism Initiatives. They have a really good range of flavours including chilli and cinnamon and apple. I bought orange and ginger and cocoa.
2: Loving Spoonful
: I fell in love with this anchor necklace as soon as I saw it!
